Poppy - Part of a larger series of work exploring the idea and symbolism of the poppy flower within Commonwealth Culture. The Poppy flower was used as its symbol because of the poem written by John McCrae, a surgeon, in 1915. Using these flowers I wanted to capture the feeling of this poem. These flowers show such a strength but also fragility. However these flowers in themselves are so temporal and made me think of the fleeting moments for which soon the petals will fall.

Sunflower - A very close friend of mine reached out to me to create an image using this incredible flower. I was greatly moved by her connection to this flower. I have spent many days watching these flowers in my studio, amazed to see them slowly turn to face the sun. From this study I could feel why they symbolise resilience, growth, and strength. I also found they give you this amazing sense of joy, being surrounded by thousands of bright yellow petals, which I always caught them changing my state of mind.

Each print is meticulously made with 100% archival pigment-based inks on natural white cotton art papers free from optical brighteners. These papers conform to ISO 9706 and are museum quality for the highest age resistance. Special care is taken in creating each print to ensure its maximum longevity. Shipped flat and includes a signed and serialised certificate of authenticity. Additionally, every print is signed and editioned on both the front and back. The back features the title, capture date, print date, and serial number.
