Poppy No. 15, 90 × 90 cm, edition of 5 + 2 AP

Kyle Hoffmann is a visual artist living and working in Sydney, Australia.

Hoffmann’s practice examines how perception constructs meaning through photographic studies of natural, material and cultural forms. Across distinct bodies of work, familiar subjects become unstable, revealing how observation, memory and projection influence what is seen.

Working primarily with medium- and large-format analogue photography, Hoffmann produces archival pigment and platinum-palladium prints.

His work is held in institutional, corporate and private collections, including the National Archives, Washington, D.C., LVMH and Aqualand Group.
